BEIRUT: Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Joumblatt called his supporters off the streets of Beirut's Hamra district Thursday evening following scuffles involving the PSP, the Free Patriotic Movement and security forces.

The Lebanese Army and riot police deployed in Hamra to separate the two parties after PSP supporters attempted to prevent FPM protesters from reaching a demonstration outside the Central Bank.

At least two people were injured as rocks were thrown and a group of unidentified men attacked the reporter and cameraman of local TV channel Al Jadeed.

وطنية - أفاد مندوب "الوكالة الوطنية للاعلام" ان ناشطين يجولون في شارع الحمراء وتوقفوا امام بعض محال الصيرفة محاولين اقفالها مرددين شعارات تندد بالسياسة المصرفية وما يمارسه الصيارفة.
 

BEIRUT: Dozens of protesters toured the commercial banks of Downtown Beirut Wednesday evening, spraying graffiti over the walls and ATMs and chanting “down with the rule of the banks.”

Activists groups called for the protest outside the headquarters of Bank Audi in Bab Idriss after reports circulated that the bank was no longer allowing customers to withdraw U.S. dollars from their accounts.

Protesters pulled down the metal letters of “bank” fixed to the outer wall of the building.

وطنية - طرابلس - نفذ عدد من المحتجين اعتصاما عند مدخل سرايا طرابلس احتجاجا على توقيف شابين كانا قد ظهرا بالأمس خلال فيديو انتشر عبر مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي يوجهون فيه الشتائم لمنسق "التيار الوطني الحر" عفيف نسيم بعد أن تم اعتراض سيارته في طرابلس، وسط انتشار امني في محيط السرايا.

واكد المعتصمون أنهم سيستمرون باحتجاجاتهم وتحركاتهم حتى الإفراج عنهما.
