Associate Professor of Sociology and Urban Studies. She has been a consultant to the International Labour Organization, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, the Brookings Institution, the US government, and other agencies. Her work focuses on social exclusion, poverty, and discrimination in the United States, Europe, and beyond.
