Judge Mohammad Mazeh enacts a decision to prosecute any media outlet in Lebanon that interviewed Ambassador Dorothy Shea

Besides triggering a nationwide uproar, the decision by Tyre’s Court of Urgent Matters Judge Mohammad Mazeh Saturday to prosecute and suspend for one year the operations of any media outlet in the country that interviewed Ambassador Dorothy Shea also deepened political divisions between the pro- and anti-US camps and raised concerns over freedom of expression in Lebanon, long known for respecting public freedoms.
