Parliament endorsed a facility to authorize state spending until the end of May

During a morning session earlier in the day, lawmakers also endorsed a facility to authorize state spending until the end of May to allow time for Cabinet and Parliament to pass the 2019 state budget.
The legislation stipulated that government spending within the three-month time frame fall in line with Lebanon's goal to reduce the deficit-to-GDP ratio by one percentage point over a year.
