Ministry of Interior orders nightclubs and restaurants to close early on the eve of election day

Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi on Tuesday issued a decision pertaining to business opening hours around parliamentary elections scheduled for Sunday. The interior minister ordered nightclubs to close at 10 p.m. on Saturday and to remain closed throughout Sunday. Bars and restaurants have to close at 11 p.m on Saturday, but can open as usual from 8 a.m. on Sunday.
