وطنية - أصدرت المحكمة العسكرية الدائمة برئاسة العميد الركن منير شحادة، سلسلة أحكام في ملف رشى متفرع عن ملف إنفجار خزان الوقود في منطقة التليل في عكار. وطالت الأحكام تسعة أشخاص هم: علي. ف، جورج.إ، راسم.ط، المؤهل دمر.م ، المؤهل أحمد.ع، المؤهل سمير.س، المؤهل الجمركي يحيى.ظ، الرقيب أول عادل.خ والرقيب أول الجمركي بلال.ح. وورد في متن الأحكام، أنه" في شمال لبنان وبتاريخ لم يمر عليه الزمن، أقدم الثلاثة الأوَل على القيام بأعمال تهريب الإسمنت والبنزين والمازوت عبر الحدود اللبناني ة- السورية من والى لبنان، وعلى دفع رشى لرتباء الجمارك اللبنانية لحملهم على القيام بأعمال منافية لوظيفتهم. وأقدم الستة الباقون على إلتماس الرشى للقيام بأعمال منافية لوظيفتهم مخالفين بذلك التعليمات العسكرية. وقضت الأحكام بإنزال عقوبة الأشغال الشاقة مدة ثلاث سنوات بحق الأول والثاني مع تجريدهما من حقوقهما المدنية، وتغريم كل واحد منهما بمبلغ مئتي مليون ليرة، وأصدرت حكما بتغريم الثالث بمبلغ عشرة ملايين ليرة. وأنزلت المحكمة عقوبة الأشغال الشاقة مدة ثلاث سنوات بحق الرابع والتجريد من الحقوق المدنية وغرامة قدرها عشرة ملايين ليرة لبنانية، كما أنزلت عقوبة الأشغال الشاقة مدة سنة ونصف السنة بحق الخامس، مع تجريده من حقوقه المدنية وغرامة قدرها سبعة ملايين ليرة. أما السادس والسابع والثامن والتاسع فأعلنت المحكمة براءتهم للشك ولعدم كفاية الدليل.

The Military Court issued a series of rulings on Friday in the cases of nine people, six of whom are Lebanese Army members, accusing of smuggling and taking bribes in a case related to the August 15 fuel tanker explosion in Tleil, Akkar. The court found that three of the defendants had allegedly participated in smuggling cement, gasoline and diesel across the Lebanese-Syrian border and had bribed customs employees to “persuade them into a behaviour that is outside their work ethics.” The other six were accused of soliciting bribes in violation of military rules. The court ordered hard labour for three years against four of the defendants in addition to fines ranging between LL10 million and LL200 million, and one and half years of labour for another defendant in addition to a fine of LL7 million. The court found four of the victims not guilty, citing lack of evidence. Among those sentenced were defendants identified as George I. and Ali F. In August, Military Court Judge Fadi Akiki had charged George Ibrahim, the owner of the land where the fuel was stored, and Ali Sobhi Faraj for storing explosive material in an unsafe manner, despite their knowledge of the danger of the material. In a statement released after the explosion Ibrahim had claimed that the fuel tanks belonged to Faraj, who lives in the area of Wadi Khaled and who was at the time jailed on separate charges, and said that he did know what was in the tanks.
