Judge Faisal Makki seizes 34 properties owned by BLOM Bank as a temporary settlement of a fine that Makki ordered the bank to pay a depositor
ألقى القاضي فيصل مكّي الحجز الاحتياطي على 34 عقاراً يملكها بنك لبنان والمهجر، كتصفيةٍ مؤقّتة لغرامةٍ إكراهية ألزمَ مكّي المصرفَ دفعها لصالح الجهة المدّعية، تبلغ قيمتها 1,580,000,000 ليرة. قرار مكّي الصادر في 29 كانون الأوّل 2021، كشفت عنه الأل. بي. سي. آي. اليوم الأربعاء، موضحةً أنّ الغرامة جاءت على خلفية تمنّع المصرف عن إعادة فتح حساب للجهة المدّعية بعدما حاولت مقاضاته لعدم تحويله أموالها المحجوزة إلى حسابٍ لها في الإمارات.
Judge Faisal Makki provisionally seized 34 properties owned by BLOM Bank, as a temporary settlement of a LBP 1,580,000,000 fine that Makki ordered the bank to pay a plaintiff. Makki's decision issued on December 29, 2021, was revealed by LBCI on Wednesday. The judge's ruling follows BLOM's refusal to reopen the plaintiff's account after the latter tried to sue the bank for not transferring his money to an account in the UAE.
