Cabinet Monday approved a raft of unprecedented radical economic reforms, and passed the draft 2020 state budget with a projected deficit of 0.6 of GDP, sending a positive message to hundreds of thousands of Lebanese who have staged nationwide street protests for the fifth day in a row over worsening economic conditions.
