Cabinet approves lockdown extension until May 10

Lebanon’s Cabinet Friday agreed to extend the nationwide lockdown for an additional two weeks while measures to stem the spread of coronavirus are set to be relaxed in five phases, Prime Minister Hassan Diab said after the session.

The two-week extension of the general mobilization period, which was set to expire on April 26, will continue until May 10. Cabinet also made the decision to cut curfew by one hour, which will now be set from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
