LAF reinforces presence in Wadi Khaled | Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), Syrian Civilians/Refugees |
NNA - The Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) upped security measures in the border town of Hneider and its neighbouring towns in the region of Wadi Khaled, following an attack by Syrian gunmen on a surveillance tower, NNA correspondent reported on Saturday. The surveillance tower which is under construction and aims at observing and controlling the border is under the joint control of the LAF, ISF and General Security. The people of Wadi Khaled showed their support for the Lebanese security forces and offered help to the LAF, which brought military reinforcements overnight. Calm has since been restored to the area.
