| Sound grenade targets house in Akkar |
Unknown persons threw a sound grenade at dawn today at the home of Jihad Mahmoud Abbas in the town of Daghleh in Akkar which caused material damage, according to the NNA correspondent. Elements of the criminal evidence department and security services opened an investigation into the incident to identity the perpetrators. In protest against the incident, municipality heads of the region issued a statement whereby they condemned this act "which aims at sowing strife among the sons of one country." Conferees highlighted national unity and assured that the sons of Akkar are brothers. They also reiterated their clinging to the state and its legitimate security and military institutions. |
