On 19 Mar 16, the Lebanese Armed Forces conducted raids in Saadnayel-Bekaa and arrested Syrian Nationals, Nawras Zayneh, Abou Abdallah Al Ourdoni, Abou AbdelRahman AlShami, Abou Hassan AlHosh & Alaa Zahida Abou Maher who were identified as ISIS members. They have previously escaped from Al Qalamoun in Syria and were fighting in the outskirts of Wadi Mira in Arsal-Bekaa against the LAF. NNA - Child Joud Saria Sayyed Hammoud - born in 2014 of Syrian origins - has been admitted to Al-Mays hospital in Chtaura after having received a stray bullet from an unknown weapon while in his home in Sahl Saadnayel. The bodies of three Christians were found inside a car in Saadnayel. It was reported that they were shot in their hearts as they were crossing the Zahleh-Tarchich-Baskinta road. The total number of people killed over the preceding two days reached 13 (three already accounted for in August 28th incident, so placed number of additional deaths at 10). |

In Zahleh, a Syrian man was killed, and his companions from the neighboring town of Saadnayel were wounded. During that time, a fight broke out between a group of Shi`a living in the suburbs of Zahleh with As-Sa`iqa commandos against a Lebanese Army unit. This turned into a Muslim-Christian clash, during which identity-based abductions and killings took place, and heavy machine guns and rockets were used. In total, 26 people were killed that day. |
