The clashes that broke out in Baalbek earlier Sunday ended this afternoon upon the intervention of Army patrols, restoring the state of calm to the city, NNA correspondent in Baalbek reported.

Clashes began with an individual dispute between a member of Al-Dandash family and another Al-Masri family, which soon developed into the use of machine guns and RPGs, before the Army intervened to restore tranquility to the city.

The sound of shots and shell explosions was heard all over the city, resulting in several material damages in a number civilian houses and possessions.
