On 11 May 16, the “We Want Accountability” movement called for legislative elections to be held, as the Parliament’s excuse that polls could not happen was no longer valid as demonstrated by the municipal vote. The protesters demanded that the elections are carried out based on a proportional representation system, more than a year before the polls are scheduled to take place. http://www.dailystar.com.lb/News/Lebanon-News/2016/May-11/351713-we-want...
