Nahr el-Bared Statistical Report 2009

This report aims to provide statistical and analytical tools for the recovery community working in North Lebanon, specifically those working with the Nahr el-Bared displaced and returnee population. The information will allow for better assessment of current needs and gaps, which will eventually support the development of appropriate strategies of intervention on both the short and long term.

LPDC's Workshop: Recovery and Development Initiatives in NBC Surrounding Communities - progress 2009

Following the Nahr EL Bared War, LPDC launched in 2008 a workshop mapping the recovery and development initiatives in the camp's area. They followed up in 2009 with another workshop reviewing the development projects that took place in the NBC area. Documents in this package include: - "CDR projects in the region of NBC": in Arabic. Goes over Lebanon's CDR (Council for Development and Reconstruction) planned and ongoing projects in the areas of transportation, water and sanitation, education, health and local development.

Following the Nahr EL Bared War, LPDC launched in 2008 a workshop mapping the recovery and development initiatives in the camp's area. Documents in this package include: - "Handout LPDC workshop on NBC": Project summary sheet of rehabilitation of sanitation system in North Lebanon. Done in collaboration with the German Government through KfW Entwicklungsbank. Overall programme goal is to quickly improve the living conditions of the Lebanese population and the Palestinian refugees in the project area.

Nahr El-Bared Statistical Report 2009

This report aims to provide statistical and analytical tools for the recovery community working in North Lebanon, specifically those working with the Nahr El-Bared displaced and returnee population. the information will allow for better assessment of current needs and gaps, which will eventually support the development of appropriate strategies of intervention on both the short and long term. The report highlights persistent vulnerabilities, which are not a direct cause of the Nahr El-Bared crisis, but have contributed considerably to the general trend of slow recovery.

Socio-Economic Assessment in Nahr El-Bared & Beddawi Camps

This report presents the results of a field survey commissioned by UNRWA to the Consultation and Research Institute (CRI). The survey took place during the month of September 2008 and covered 1,817 Palestinian households divided into three groups: Beddawi Camp (BC) Residents, households displaced from Nahr El Bared Camp (NBC) as a result of the 2007 conflict, and households who returned to the NBC adjacent area following the 2007 conflict.
