Four men were arrested on October 14th in connection to wanted drug and weapons dealer Naji Tohme in south Lebanon.
Army Intelligence, in coordination with the joint Palestinian security force, arrested four men accused of motorcycle theft, drug dealing and possession. They are also suspected of belonging to a group loyal to Tohme, whose attempted arrest in the Al-Bass Palestinian refugee camp in Tyre on October 12th led to clashes.
The four men were identified as Mahmoud Salem, Ali Azayat, a Lebanese national, Samer Mounir al-Saleh and Mahmoud Moustafa Afif, both Palestinians from Syria.
Saleh was found hiding in Tohme’s house in the camp and he is suspected of participating in the armed clashes. During the interrogation, Afif admitted to stealing a number of motorcycles, selling drugs and belonging to Tohme’s group.
