KAFA: Trainings targeting ISF on family violence

The objective is to provide the participants with the required background information on International Treaties related to women and children’s human rights, and violence against women, as well as to increase participants’ knowledge about gender issues, and to reaffirm rules, regulations and procedures to follow, within the existing laws, in dealing with cases of violence.

KAFA: Training of trainers on the manual "Hand in Hand to End VAW"

KAFA & DRC are implementing a project on working with Syrian men to engage then in ending Violence Against Women (VAW).
A series of ToT are taking place in North, Bekaa, and South Lebanon. The trainings are targeting men from the Syrian communities residing in the above-mentioned areas. The trainings aim at sensitizing men on VAW and enhancing their training and knowledge skills on gender-based violence.
The trainees, in the second phase of the project, will intervene in their communities and provide sensitizing activities on GBV.

KAFA: Launch of study "Dreams for Sale: Exploitation of Domestic Workers from Recruitment in Nepal and Bangladesh to Working in Lebanon"

The launching event will include a screening of the animation movie “Dreams for Sale”, a presentation of the study’s findings and recommendations, and interventions by experts on migration issues from Nepal and Bangladesh.

ABAAD: Information meeting with families and wives/mothers of the disappeared

ABAAD as partners of 'ACT for the Disappeared' will be taking part in a series of information meetings to be held at the community-based level to introduce women relatives of the disappeared and their families (among other things) on the gender cost of disappearence and seek to find solutions that would affect their lives as women.
