In 2006, the Lebanese Centre for Political Studies (LCPS) organized four roundtables on transitional justice in different geographical locations including Ramlieh, Beirut, Nabatieh,and Beit Meri. Participants discussed possible transitional justice strategies and mechanisms in the Lebanese context. These mechanisms included the recognition of the past and truth seeking, building trust between the state and citizens, reconciliation and public healing, as well as memory and memorialization.
