Under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Higher Education H.E. Mr. Marwan Hamadeh, the Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD) has organised an educational conference on “Teaching History in Lebanon: Reality, Experience and Prospects” in partnership with the British Council and the Institute of Citizenship and Diversity Management at Adyan Foundation. The conference was attended by the head of Parliamentary commission for education and culture in the Lebanese Parliament, MP Bahia Hariri, the head of CERD, Dr. Nada Aouijan, Coordinator of the Federation of the Private Educational Foundation in Lebanon, Father Boutros Azar, the Director of the Institute of Citizenship and Diversity Management, Dr. Nayla Tabbara, representatives of educational offices in various Lebanese parties: the Future Movement, the Free Patriotic Movement, the Lebanese Forces, the Progressive Socialist Party, the Phalangist Party as well as international and local educational experts, and educational institutions.
