Over 300 refugees evicted from Zahle

The Syrian refugees residing in the Zahle camp were evicted by the Lebanese Army on Dec. 24 Zapater explained. The location was comprised of some 67 tents, with 323 individuals from 74 families affected by the move. A source from within the camp said that that the refugees are currently seeking shelter at a barn in the area or with their relatives until they move. He had told The Daily Star that the families were given until Dec. 21 to leave. He said that most of them did so, but others were unable to because of rain. “[We] were warned around 15 days ago,” the source said.
